Terms of Service
These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Inka ("we", "us"), operated by Inka. By using writeinka.com or app.writeinka.com (together, "Inka") you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Inka.
1. What Inka is
Inka is a writing app: a room with sound, a timer and a page where your sentences settle. The free version is free. Inka Pro adds more rooms, sounds, keyboard packs, longer timers and unlimited pieces.
2. Your account
You can use Inka without an account. If you sign in (with Google, Apple or email), your pieces sync between your devices. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to create an account.
3. Your writing is yours
Everything you write in Inka belongs to you. We do not claim any rights to it, we do not read it, and we do not use it to train anything. We store it only so it can follow you between devices, and we delete it when you delete it or your account.
4. Paying for Pro
- Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Hub, Account, Manage billing, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Lifetime is a one-time payment for Pro for as long as Inka exists.
- If something is wrong with a purchase, email us within 14 days and we will sort it out, including a refund where that is the fair thing to do.
5. Fair use
Please do not try to break into Inka, overload it, resell it, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do, after trying to reach you first where we can.
6. Changes and availability
Inka is a small product and it changes often. We may add, change or remove features, and we may take it offline for maintenance. Your writing on your own device stays there regardless. If we ever shut Inka down, we will give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything.
7. No warranties, limited liability
Inka is provided as is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, United States. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
