Coffee shop sounds in the Inka writing app

The café bed in the Inka writing app is called Corner Café, and it is Pro. If you are on the free app, Reading Room and Exam Hall are the closer free sounds, and Coffee Table Jazz is one of the Spotify playlists.

What Corner Café is

Corner Café is a mix of room tone and murmur, meant to sit under work the way a half-full shop does. It is one of the Pro sounds. On a free account the tile is marked, and choosing it opens the upgrade sheet. The sound does not start.

It mixes like the others. If you have Pro, you can put it under Soft Rain or next to Fireside and set each volume.

What you can do without Pro

Reading Room and Exam Hall are free. They are quiet indoor beds, not a crowd. Exam Hall is a low hush with an occasional small sound across the room. Reading Room is a softer indoor noise. Neither one is a coffee shop, and this page will not pretend they are.

Music is the other route. The app has a Spotify panel with nine playlists, including Coffee Table Jazz. Full songs play only if that browser is logged in to Spotify, free or Premium. Inka does not connect a Spotify account of its own. Logged-out 30-second previews are stopped. While a track is loaded, the ambient beds duck.

How to get a shop-like hour

  1. If you have Pro, turn on Corner Café and lower it until the murmur is behind the page.
  2. If you do not, open Reading Room or Exam Hall, or open Music and choose Coffee Table Jazz after you log in to Spotify in the browser.
  3. Write in the same window. The point of the sound is the draft next to it.

Is the coffee shop sound free?

No. Corner Café is Pro. Reading Room and Exam Hall are the free indoor sounds.

Can I paste my own café playlist?

Yes, in Music. Paste a Spotify playlist, album, or track link. You still need to be logged in to Spotify in that browser for full songs.

Does Inka stream a live café on YouTube by itself?

Not as a built-in free café channel. A YouTube link as your own background is Pro, and it is a background you chose, not a café we host.

Are there ads in the sound?

No ads in Inka. Spotify's own player follows Spotify's rules.
