Rain sounds for studying, in the Inka writing app
In the Inka writing app, Soft Rain and Heavy Rain are free sounds you can mix while you study or write. Thunderstorm is Pro. The rain is in the same window as the page, not a video you watch beside a blank document.

The rain you can play
Soft Rain is the lighter bed. Heavy Rain is the denser one. Turn on either, or both, and set each slider. They loop. There is no ad break, because there are no ads.
Thunderstorm, with thunder in the rain, is Pro. If you only wanted steady rain, you do not need it.
This is not a sleep site and not an MP3 download. The sound plays while the app is open. A sound you have already started keeps working offline. One you have never played will not download without a connection.
A rain room is separate from the rain sound
Cozy Rain Room is a free video room, rain on a window, and it is first in the room list. You can use it with the rain sounds or without them. They are not tied together.
Rainy Tokyo is free too. The other rain rooms are Pro: Silent Rain City, Cozy Lofi Rain, and Glasshouse Rain. Tapping one of those on a free account opens the upgrade sheet and leaves your current room alone.
If you want the sound and not the video, play Soft Rain in Ink Room. Ink Room is free and does not move.
How to study with the rain
- Open the app and choose Cozy Rain Room, or Ink Room if you only want the audio.
- Open Sound, tap Soft Rain, and move the slider to where it sits behind your attention rather than on top of it.
- Add Heavy Rain only if the lighter one is too thin. Add Fireside, also free, if you want a dry crackle under it.
- Start a 25-minute block if you are studying in a sprint. That length is free. Pair it with the page and actually write or read. The rain by itself is not the work.
